Woman injured in early morning shooting

A woman was injured in a shooting early Wednesday morning.

St. Joseph police confirmed the 44-year-old woman suffered a non-life-threatening wound to the shoulder. The shooting happened at about 12:20 a.m. in the 1500 block of South 22nd St., Capt. Jeff Wilson said.

The investigation is active and police officers are pursuing leads and possible suspects, Wilson said.
