Someone help us

I see where Spire is wanting to add an increase to our already high bills. When is this going to stop? People cannot afford another increase in any utilities. People on very fixed incomes are struggling now with everything, groceries, medicine. Come on, people. We cannot have another rate hike in any of our utilities. When will it stop? Please, someone help us.

Great job, City Council

I am so proud of St. Joseph that we have a City Council that could detect microscopic cracks in the Pony Express Statue base and spend almost $400,000 replacing a 45-ton base with a 23-ton base. We just have the best City Council you could hope to have, and they're only surpassed by the great school board we have.

How times change

One of the problems with getting old is you see so many bizarre changes. I can remember when 10,000 points on the stock market seemed like a high that would never be real. Now they look at it and 30 or 40,000 points seems to be nothing. But I also remember when stamps were two cents a loaf of bread was 12 cents. Look at us now. What we pay for a car now, we used to buy a four- or five-bedroom house. My, how times change.

Full of baloney

George Clooney is the biggest full of baloney guy I've ever seen. He's lying through his teeth when he says he thought it was his civic duty to write that op-ed about Biden and his mental capabilities. They knew all along that Democrats, Clooney, they all knew all along, long before they knew when he first was elected to office, that he wasn't capable of doing the job. And now they're trying to make out like they done the country a favor because they told the truth. We all knew the truth. They was one that was hiding and lying about it.
