It’s Your Call for June 25

Just a question
I have a question. If inflation is up, everybody says it’s a different percentage, 19%, let’s say, therefore the sales tax is going up a certain amount. That sales tax money goes to the state, the city. What are they spending it on? Who’s controlling it and what are they doing with this influx of money? And if the businesses are doing so good, it’s too bad they can’t afford to fix the parking lots in this town, so you don’t have craters to drive through to shop.
They ought
to be fired
Yeah, I was just watching the news. And I see where the state representatives and senators are squabbling over putting something together to keep the Chiefs where they are. If they don’t get that taken care of and get off their ego trips, they ought to all be fired.
A drop in
the bucket
Over 100 million will not lose coverage for pre-existing conditions. According to the government, 45 million are covered under Obamacare. Only 45 million. Of that 45 million, 27% percent, or about 12 million, have pre-existing conditions according to the Government Accounting Office. Of that, the insurance industry says approximately 31% would not qualify because of their pre-existing conditions. If you do that arithmetic, that puts it under 4 million people who people who could lose their coverage if Obamacare quits. That’s still a lot of numbers, but out of 333 million, four million is a drop in the bucket.
Look it up
I’m encouraging everyone out there to look up and read about Project 2025. This is the Republicans’ national platform and things that they want to implement if Donald Trump gets back into the White House. Many of the things in there are quite frightening. I don’t care which side of the aisle you fall on, it should be very concerning, though the information is out there. Please take the time to research and look it up and read about some of the things that they want to implement.
