Pothole liability

Remarks about the pothole problems in Saint Joe’s in today’s paper, where a lot of cars are being damaged by potholes. People, you better realize the city’s not going to be liable for nothing. All we’re going to do is give you a shovel full of asphalt and they’re not going to fix the streets correctly, but they’re going to keep taking your tax dollars.

Who’s responsible?

This has to do with the article on the front page of today’s paper, Tuesday, June 18th on potholes. You don’t have to go too far to look for a pothole, just go out your front door and across the street to a driveway into the post office and the street there. There’s a hole in the street and has been there for months, and the sidewalk is all busted up with holes. Question is, who’s responsible? Is it the city for the street? Is it the city for the sidewalk? Or is it for the post office, because it leads into their property?

On the topic of bump stocks

On the issue of bump stocks. The Supreme Court didn’t say they were legal or illegal. It just said the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Department is not the authority, Congress has to pass a law making them illegal. It’s not up to a government agency to make law.
