Explain it to me

Please explain to me how spending $20 million on three aging high school sports fields helps the school district that has 70% free and reduced lunches, three aging schools and low teacher pay.

What about them?

I’m trying to address this levy that they want to pass in April, and then it’ll raise the property taxes. What about the people who are on a fixed income? They can’t afford this.

Less bang

Speaking of inflation and deflation, last year I ordered checks from my bank, deluxe. I got 100 checks in a box. This year I ordered checks, deluxe, higher price and a box had 80 checks in it.

I remember

To the person who called in and asked if we senior citizens can remember when America wasn’t in chaos. Yes, I am a senior citizen and I do remember. It was before Obama and Biden.

Then vs. now

Going through some old paperwork, I happened to come across a receipt from Plymouth for a pair of Hush Puppies. The tax on those shoes in about 1963 was 2%. I wonder what kind of services we were getting then compared to now when our tax rate is five times that. I think we were getting pretty good service.
