It’s Your Call for Jan. 17

Ridiculous conditions
It looks like the city, county and state road crews all took a three-day weekend for the Martin Luther King holiday. I have never seen our streets this bad for so long and it’s ridiculous.
What’s being done?
Several of us were sitting around, watching the football game. At halftime, we had a discussion on the city, and these questions were asked by some of the individuals watching the game. Why are the expired temporary license plates allowed to be on the cars after they expired? What happened to the trash cleanup, the grass and the weed cutting program and the influx of the homeless downtown? What is being done about these issues?
Keep it open
The City of St. Joe needs to keep the dump site open on Saturday and Sunday, so this will allow our trash haulers to get back on schedule again. They closed at 4:00, they can’t get anything done because of the weather and they’re closed Saturday and Sunday.
Cost to taxpayers
Why is Missouri’s attorney general suing China and the Missouri Highway Department and testifying in Washington, D.C.? How much does that cost Missouri taxpayers?
Chinese owned land
I see where Governor Parson signed a bill and enacted that the Chinese cannot own any property 10 miles close to a military base in Missouri. Why did he allow them to even buy farmland in Missouri to begin with?
I will sue
I don’t care about the rest of you, but if anyone ever feeds me lab grown meat and I am unaware of it and find out, I will sue.
