COSBY, Mo. – Billie Doris Hatheway, 80, Cosby, Missouri, passed away quietly at home on Saturday, May 4, 2024. She was born Nov. 3, 1942, in Clinton County, Missouri, to Alice and Virgil (Turner) Scott. Billie married Elmer Hatheway Sr. on May 23, 1964, and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2017.

Billie Doris was a homemaker. She enjoyed visiting close friends, trips with her husband, playing at the casino, fishing and dancing.

Survivors include her children, Ricky, Belinda, Lena, Elmer Jr., Ronnie, Billy, Debra and Everett; 30 grandchildren; 33 great- grandchildren, and three on the way.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream following at 2 p.m. The Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery, Cosby. Memorials are requested to the Lawn Care Bethel Cemetery and Church Fund.
