Jenette Irene Brown, 82, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, at her home. She was born Sept. 6, 1942 in Leavenworth, Kansas, daughter of Carmoletta and Earl Lucas. She graduated from Benton High School, class of 1960. On June 4, 1961, she married John Brown.

Most of Jenettes work life was spent as Administrative Assistant with Brokers International. She was a member of the Boulder First Church of the Nazarene, where she enjoyed volunteering. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, doing water aerobics.

Jenette was preceded in death by husband, John D. Brown; her parents; son-in-law, Buddy Gray; brother, Byron Lucas; sister, Annette Towne; and brother, Daniel Lucas.

Survivors include son, Donald (Anita) Brown, of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Debra Gray, of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Shelby Gray, of St. Joseph, Ashley (John) Crawley, of Holt, Missouri, Kylie Brown, of Phoenix, Matthew (Lauren) Brown, of Westminister, Colorado, and Jonna (Wesley) Green, of Thornton, Colorado; great-grandsons, Mikiyle and Damon Crawley, Gavin and Connor Green; sister-in-law’s, Karen Lucas, of Golden, Colorado and Karen Lucero, of Colorado; and brother-in-law, Gordon Towne, of Arvada, Colorado.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at the Rupp Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Colorado with Interment at the Crown Hill Cemetery, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Memorials are requested to United Cerebral Palsy.
