Brazzell, Ila 1935-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Ila Brazzell, 89, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Ila was born on Nov. 26, 1935, in Irena, Missouri, to the late Ray and Maidie (Fletchell) Stabe. She was a 1953 graduate of Grant City, Missouri, High School.
Mrs. Brazzell worked as a sewing machine operator at Big Smith for over 10 years and had previously worked at H.D. Lee.
Ila was a member of Central Assembly of God Church and enjoyed genealogy, quilting and crocheting.
Ila married Roy E. Brazzell on June 13, 1956. They celebrated 55 years of marriage until his passing on Aug. 7, 2011.
In addition, to her husband and parents, Ila was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Kelly (George); son-in-law, Emery Manlove; grandson, Tim Kelly; and two brothers, Russell (Ruthie) Stabe and Curtis (Pauline) Stabe.
Ila is survived by her son, Dan (June) Brazzell; two daughters, Karen Manlove, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Debra (Dennis) Schoenfeldt, of Shawnee, Kansas; five grandchildren, Dylan Schoenfeldt, Garrett and Gage Brazzell, Kyra Manlove and Bill Kelly; numerous great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Karen Stoffel and Leta Davis.
Funeral Service 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends one hour prior from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
