Pyles Jr., David R. 1969-2025 DeKalb, Mo.

DEKALB, Mo. – David Ray Pyles Jr., 56, of DeKalb, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025, at his home. He was born Feb. 9, 1969, in St. Joseph, son of Carlene and David Pyles Sr.

He attended the DeKalb High School. David worked at Blue Scope as a Stradle Carrier. He enjoyed jug fishing, mushroom hunting, riding dirt bikes, fixing up old cars, spending times with his boys and his family. He was a member of the DeKalb Christian Church.

David was preceded in death by mother, Carlene Jolly.

Survivors include wife, Megen J. Pyles; sons, Riley and Jacob Pyles, of the home; father, David R (Carol) Pyles Sr., of St. Joseph; sisters, Tonya (Chad) Morse, Dearborn, Missouri, and Kawana Neaves, Lenexa, Kansas; stepsisters, Joy Gill and Aletha Hughes; stepbrothers, Josh Jolly and Jeremy Seckel.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the Rupp Funeral Home, Jared Hamilton officiating. The Interment will be at the Sugar Creek Cemetery.
