Pike, Russel E. 1955-2025 Lancaster, Kan.

LANCASTER, Kan. – Russel E. Pike, 69, of Lancaster, Kansas, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday May 1, 2025, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Spaulding, officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Camp Creek Cemetery and may be sent in care of the funeral home.

Russel was born Nov. 7, 1955, in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Walter Stanley “Dude” and Joyce (Burton) Pike. He graduated from Atchison County Community High School. Russel was a farmer and enjoyed taking care of the animals and farms.

Russel is survived by two sisters, Nancy Spilman, Lancaster, Pam and Ron Holtorf, Olathe, Kansas; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephew; and great-great-niece and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Carla Davis and Penny Spaulding. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
