Steltenpohl, William L. 1962-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

William “Brian” Lee Steltenpohl, 62, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in St. Joseph, at his home. He was born Oct. 25, 1962, in St. Joseph, son of Marilyn and Billy Ray Steltenpohl.

He graduated from Lafayette High School class of 1980. Brian married Tracy Frazer on Sept. 10, 1988 and she survives of the home. He served in the Missouri Air National Guard for 10 years, and worked at St. Joseph Light & Power Company for 22 years.

Brian enjoyed all sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, and Nascar, he also enjoyed fishing and boating.

He was preceded in death by two infant children, Autumn and Brint Steltenpohl.

Survivors include wife, Tracy Steltenpohl, of the home; father, Billy Ray Steltenpohl and mother, Marilyn June Steltenpohl; two sons, Joshua (Jacqueline) Steltenpohl, and Bradley (Lacey) Steltenpohl; two granddaughters, Sophie and Adalyn Steltenpohl; two brothers, Bruce (Dee) Steltenpohl, and Raymond (Karen) Steltenpohl; and two sisters, Sherri (Pat) Martin, and Anne Steltenpohl; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home with a memorial service and public live stream starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025, with Jeff Atkins officiating, at the Rupp Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the in lieu of flowers to the Noyes Home.
