Harris, Suzanne E. 1942-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Suzanne E. (Letts) Harris, 83, St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Suzanne was born on Feb. 8, 1942, in St. Joseph, to the late William and Caroline (Lowe) Letts. She was a 1961 graduate of Central High School.

Mrs. Harris worked as a dental hygienist and was owner of JAKS Trophy Room.

Susie was a member of Brookdale Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed cooking, knitting and being with and loving on her family and friends.

Susie married Gary Lew Harris on Jan. 6, 1962, when there was 13 inches of snow outside. They celebrated 44 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 2006.

Susie is survived by her children, Kristy Wells (Coleman), Jeffrey Harris (Barbara) and Andy Harris (Amy); grandchildren, Cooper Harris (Rachel), Bailey Walters (Trace), Nick Harris, Kade Harris, Lauryn Harris, Morgan, Mason and P.J.

In addition to her parents and husband Susie was also preceded in death by her son, Todd Harris.

Funeral Service 10 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2025, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at our chapel.
