TROY, Kan. – Theodore “Tim” Matthew Gronniger, 80, of Troy, Kansas, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Abundant Acres, in Savannah, Missouri. Tim was born on June 15, 1944, in Leona, Kansas, to August and Eugenie (Davignon) Gronniger.

He graduated from Troy High School and was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church, Troy. Tim served in the U.S Army. He worked as a surveyor for Louis & Clark and Ben Williamson, was a mechanic for Gronniger Garage and retired from Altec as a Assembly Tech.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Henry Paul Gronniger; Joseph Henry Gronniger, and Olga Gronniger.

Survivors: sons, Paul Gronniger, John Gronniger and James Gronniger; grandchildren, Bailey Gronniger and Gentry Duncan; great-grandchild, Adalyn Duncan; siblings, Eugenie Ricklefs, August Peter Gronniger Jr., Susan Bandelier, Richard Gronniger and Mary Johnson.

Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at the St. Charles Catholic Church, Troy. Rosary: 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, in Troy. Visitation to follow until 7 p.m. Burial: St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Troy. Memorials: Doniphan County Fire District 5, Troy.
