Wiedmer, Nettie 1927-2025 Wathena, Kan.

WATHENA, Kan. – Nettie “Lucile” Wiedmer, 98, of Wathena, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in Savannah, Missouri. Lucile was born on Feb. 24, 1927, in Troy, Kansas, to James J. Sr. and Dorothy (Keller) Davies.

She worked as a sewing machine operator, in St. Joseph, for 25 years and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, Blair, Kansas.

Lucile married Albert Wiedmer in September of 1944, during WWII, in Miami, Florida. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sharon Ream, Josephine Bunck, Freda Dhone and Ruth Kline; brother, James J. Davies Jr.; son-in-law, Phil Thomas; and a grandson, Wade Thomas.

Survivors: son, Gerry Wiedmer (Martha), Troy, Kansas; daughter, Diana Thomas, St. Joseph; three grandchildren, Holly Chapman (Kyle), Brycen Wiedmer (Leola) and Jill Fleek (Bill); and five great-grandchildren, Ryann Akins, Brylee Wiedmer, Leena Wiedmer, Sidney Fleek and Anna Fleek; sister, Louise Nocks, Hartville, Missouri; nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service: 3 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2025, at Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call after noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas.
