Culver, Merlyn M. 1969-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Merlyn Myers Culver, 55, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, at his home. He was born June 22, 1969, in St. Joseph, son of Myrtle and Merle Culver.

He graduated from Lafayette High School and worked as a welder at I & M Machine for several years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing the guitar, and listening to music.

Merlyn was preceded in death by father, Merle Culver, and brother, Chuck Culver.

Survivors include mother, Myrtle Culver-Fowler, St. Joseph; daughters, Kelsey Culver, Tiffany Culver, and Cassidy Lutz; sons, Michael Goldizen, and Aaron Newberry; grandson, Timmy; and several other grandchildren; and a brother, Marlin “Page” Culver.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday with a funeral services and public live stream starting at 2 p.m. Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the Merlyn Culver memorial fund in care of the Rupp Funeral Home.
