Smith, Charles E. 1966-2025 Dearborn, Mo.

DEARBORN, Mo. – Charles “Chuck” Eugene Smith, 58, of Dearborn, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at his home in Dearborn. He was born Nov. 6, 1966, in Joplin, Missouri, son of Betty and Charles Smith.

Chuck worked for many years as a painting contractor, mostly with Scott Gann Construction. He enjoyed sports, especially boxing, the KC Chiefs and shooting guns, and his best times were spent being with his family.

Chuck was preceded in death by father, Charles L. Smith; mother, Betty Wininger.

Survivors include children, Corey (Samantha) Griswold, of Madison, Nebraska, Larissa Smith (Roy Zimmer), of Dearborn, Ashley (Brycen) Larison, of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Gavin, Jaidence, Shane, Noah and Bella; brothers, Donnie and Steve Smith, both of Joplin, Missouri.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Rupp Funeral Home. Mr. Smith will be cremated following services.
