Fisher, Mary C. 1938-2025 Easton, Mo.

EASTON, Mo. – Mary C. Fisher, 86, of Easton, Missouri, died on Feb. 26, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Mary Catherine (Claus) Fisher was born July 24, 1938, to Mary (O’Connor) and (John) Joseph Claus, in St. Joseph. She grew up in St. Joseph, attending the Convent of the Sacred Heart High School before moving to Kansas City, Missouri, where she graduated from Bishop Hogan High School. Mary attended St. Mary’s College in Leavenworth, Kansas, before returning to her home in Kansas City.
On Oct. 30, 1965, she was united in marriage to Henry Raymond Fisher. After their marriage, they lived on a farm in Easton where they made their home. Mary returned to school at Missouri Western State College, obtained her degree, and worked as a librarian at the St. Joseph Public Library.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother.
She is survived by her eight children; 20 grandchildren; two sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The Fisher family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Memory Care staff at Lakeview Care Center, Lenexa, Kansas, and KC Hospice. Their love and care for our mother in the last year of her life means so much to the family.
Rosary will be held at 4 p.m. with Visitation following until 7 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Easton. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Easton. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Easton.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice or donate to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a statue in her memory.
