Nolan, Janice M. 1944-2025 Stanberry, Mo.

STANBERRY, Mo. – Janice Marie Nolan, 80, of Stanberry, Missouri, passed away on Feb. 23, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care. Janice was born to Charles and Elaine Wells on March 21, 1944, in Bolcow, Missouri.
On Sept. 2, 1959, she married Claude “Tony” Brashears. They adopted their son, Brian, on Feb. 26, 1973. Later, on Aug. 15, 1981, she remarried to Dennis Nolan at the First Baptist Church, in Stanberry.
Throughout the years Janice worked for the license bureau in Stanberry, then Bob Adams at MFA Insurance/Shelter Insurance, then Larry McCarty where she sold insurance and did income taxes. She retired in 2006. Janice enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling to various places like Colorado, Branson, and going to the Kansas Speedway.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elaine Wells; sister, Beverly DeShon; and brother-in-law, Cliff DeShon.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis, of the home; son, Brian and wife, Heather Brashears, of Mound City, Missouri; granddaughters, Ashley (Landon) Adams, of Savannah, Missouri, Tiffany Brashears (River Ebling), of St. Joseph, Katelynn (Wyatt) Kerns, of Oregon, Missouri, Dara Young (Joey Herron), of Rock Port, Missouri, and Devan Young of Mound City; two great-grandsons, Parker Adams and Waylon Ebling; and one soon to be great- granddaughter, baby Kerns; brother, Wendel Wells, of King City, Missouri; sister, Patrisha (Richard) Eberle, of Pardeeville, Wisconsin; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry. Burial will follow in Savannah Cemetery, Savannah. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation and/or the ASPCA in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
