Hunt, Deanna C. 1941-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Deanna Candacy Hunt, 83, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, at her home. She was born June 25, 1941, in Graham, Missouri.

She worked at Citadel Health Care as a Medical Technician. Deanna enjoyed playing games on her IPad, Bingo, and Solitaire. She was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church.

Deanna was preceded in death by her father, James Wright; mother, Myrtle Maxine Dynes; brother, James E. Wright; sisters, Bonnie Sue Oliva-Tumlinson, Stella Wright, and Sheila Dempsey; a granddaughter, Tiffany DeSpain; and former husband, Jack Hunt.

She is survived by sons, David Rix, St. Joseph and Larry Miller, Atchison, Kansas; daughter, Mary Starr, St. Joseph; and daughter, Sheila (Michael) Tittsworth, of Clarksdale, Missouri; brothers, Alvin “Bud” Wright and Jerry W. (Carolyn) Wright, of California; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Memorial Services and public live stream following Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Rupp Funeral Home. She will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.
