Atkins, Faye E. 1932-2025 Savannah, Mo.

SAVANNAH, Mo. – Faye Ella Atkins, 92, Savannah, Missouri, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, surrounded by her family. Faye was born on Dec. 4, 1932, in Fillmore, Missouri, to Zelma and Ammon Steeby.
Faye attended Savannah High School. She was united in marriage to Billy Joe Atkins on March 20, 1951, in Savannah. Together they raised five children. He preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2009.
Faye’s greatest love in this life was spending time with her family. Faye was always outside tending to her flowers, working in her garden, and watching the birds. She rarely missed the chance to dance with her friends and listen to good old country music.
Faye is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Dick) McGuire, Tammy (Clint) Messner; son, Keith (Sandra) Atkins; grandchildren, Jesse McGuire, Sarah (Joey) Zimmerman, Caleb (Bobbi) Messner, Minde (Phillip) Dreher, Brooke Messner, Krystal (Clay) White, Billy Atkins, Tera (Danny) Helton; great-grandchildren, Alyssa (Zach) Bonde, Keith and Jacob Zimmerman, Carlie, Aubrey and Riley Dreher, Ladd Messner, Callan and Ella White, Ashley Cottrell, Courtney Schilmiller; great-great-granddaughter, Annistyn Bonde.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Gary and Terry Atkins; daughter-in-law, Dea Atkins; great-grand-daughter, Lindsey Helton; her parents; and seven siblings.
A graveside service will be held at Fillmore Cemetery Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. with a memorial luncheon to follow at Fillmore Community Hall.
Cremation provided by Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, where there will be a register book to sign.
