Nold, Kenneth E. 1934-2025 Helena, Mo.

HELENA, Mo. – Kenneth E. Nold, 90, Helena, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025. He was born Feb. 24, 1934, in St. Joseph, to Emmett and Ruby (Lancey) Nold.
Kenneth married Darline Delores Schottel on Sept. 25, 1955. She preceded him in death on July 30, 2017.
Kenneth and Darline owned and operated K&D Dairy with Holstein cattle east of Helena.
Family and 4-H were most important to Kenneth, and the two intertwined often. He was an integral part of the Andrew County Fair and Andrew County 4-H as well as the Helena 4-H, as a sponsor and supporter, while his children were also involved in 4-H. He was inducted into the Missouri 4-H Hall of Fame for his work in the organization.
He was a charter member of the Helena Lions Club and also a member of the Helena United Methodist Church.
An outgoing man with a good sense of humor, Kenneth was a lifelong Pitch player and also loved to support his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at their events.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Darline; his parents; son, Neal Nold; great-grandson, Emmett Wyckoff; brother, Carroll Nold; and sister, Lois Anderson.
Survivors include his children, Nancy and Glen Schmutzler, Cheryl and Randall Wyckoff, DeeAnn and Donald Schnitker; daughter-in-law, Tracy Nold; grandchildren, Kurt, Eric, Kyle, Adam, Kristin, Chad, Brandon, Caitlin, and Evan; 29 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Norma Kay Cox; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and family friend and caregiver, Barbara Harkrider.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1 p.m. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Helena United Methodist Church or the Andrew County 4-H Council.
