Miller, Mary L. 1947-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Mary Lou Miller, 77, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at her home. She was born April 22, 1947, in Tazewell, Virginia, daughter of Virginia and James Short.

Mary most recently had been working as a Caregiver for InterServ. She loved spending time with her family and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffrey Jones; and brother, Jimmy Melvin.

Survivors include sons, Wesley (Shirley) Jones, of St. Joseph, and Matt (Tiffany) Jones, of Denver, Colorado; sisters, Malinda (Joe) Lewis, of Bluefield, Virginia, and Patricia (Michael) Thompson, of Pulaski, Virginia; grandchildren, Steven Jones, Wes Jones Jr., Dannielle James and Brianna Jones; seven great-grandchildren, Cayden, James, Zach, McKenna, Jordan, Clarion and Josie.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Grandview Memorial Gardens, in Bluefield, at a later date.
