SAVANNAH, Mo. – Theresa “Terri” Holt, 76, Savannah, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, at Living Community of St. Joseph. Terri was born on Dec. 19, 1948, in St. Joseph, to the late Calvin and Maxine (Wampler) Shreve. She was a 1966 graduate of Savannah High School and graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing as an R.N. in 1969.

On June 7, 1969, Terri married William “Bill” Holt, in Savannah. They celebrated 48 years of marriage and raised their three children together before he preceded her in death on April 2, 2018.

In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Terri worked as an R.N. in the Nursery at the former Heartland Hospital for over 25 years.

Terri was a member of the First Christian Church of Savannah, where she taught Sunday School classes for almost 30 years. She was a skilled and talented crafter and enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting and cross stitch. She was also a great cook and enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. Her greatest joy was passing down her love of crafting and baking to her granddaughters, which they continue to carry on.

Terri was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on the Royals, Chiefs and Mizzou teams.

Terri is survived by her daughters, Janae Goodall (Adrian), Sydney, Australia, Keri Holt (Kyle Yamnitz), Kansas City, Missouri; son, Derek Holt (Lindy), Rosendale, Missouri; grandchildren, Emma and Alyssa Goodall, Wyatt and Georgia Holt and Conner Yamnitz; sister, Diane Miller (Wayne), Savannah; mother-in-law, Vesta Holt, Savannah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow starting at 3 p.m. on Sunday. A Private Family Interment at Bennett Lane Cemetery, Savannah, will be held at a later date.
