It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rhonda Kay Fuller on Jan. 27, 2025, at the age of 80. She was surrounded by her loving family and passed away peacefully.

Rhonda was born on March 24, 1944, in St. Joseph, to Ralph and Margaret Groneweg. She grew up in St. Joseph, where she cultivated a deep love for her community and family. She married Doug Fuller on April 1, 1988. She and Doug owned and managed One Stop Mailing and Packaging until they retired to St. Petersburg, Florida. Together they enjoyed sailing, boating and exploring the world.

Rhonda will be remembered for her infectious smile, her boundless love for her family and friends, and her joyful presence while playing with her great-grandchildren. She had a heart for service, volunteering her time with hospice, the St. Petersburg Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy, and the Boca Ciega Yacht Club. Above all, she treasured her family and spent her life creating meaningful moments with them.

Rhonda is survived by her son, Kevin Stewart; her daughter, Marcy (Pal) Hopkins; her grandchildren, Cody (Hannah) Hopkins, Zakerie (Amanda) Stewart, Austin (Esther) Hopkins, Maddison Hopkins; her great-grandchildren, Lexie Hopkins, Lailah Stewart, Joanna Hopkins, Arabella Hopkins, and Bentley Stewart; her stepdaughter, Stephanie (David) Wegenka; grandchildren, Jessica Wegenka, Parker Wegenka, and Connor Wegenka; her sister, Roberta Briggs; her twin brother, Don Groneweg; and her beloved cat, Smokey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Margaret Groneweg; her infant brother; her husband, Doug Fuller; and her sister-in-law, Mary Groneweg.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30, at Heaton Bowman Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. A celebration of Rhonda’s life will follow on Friday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Rhonda will forever be missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her life was a testament to love, service, and family, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

The family would like also to thank the entire staff at Field Pointe Assisted Living for the exceptional care provided to Rhonda. The personal support provided to the family in her final moments went above and beyond.
