OLATHE, Kan. – Patrica Hickman “Pat” Flint, 92, Olathe, Kansas, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024. She was born Dec. 13, 1932, in Lineville, Iowa, to Ivan and Matilda (Mary) Hickman.

Pat was a homemaker, mother to her four children, caregiver to her husband, Bob, during his extended illness, and grandmother and great- grandmother. Pat was the spiritual inspiration to the family following her Christian faith all her life and assuring the passing of her faith to her children. Pat was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church Olathe.

Pat was very creative and her hands were always busy, using her gifts to make many baby and holiday quilts for family and friends while knitting winter hats for those in need. Her sweet smile and caring nature endeared her to many throughout her life as well as those who cared for her in her last few years. She made the best apple pie and Snickerdoodles enjoyed by her family for many years. Pat enjoyed RV travel in North America, wintering in Mesa, Arizona, for over 20 years.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert Flint; and her parents, Ivan and Mary Hickman; her husband’s parents, Doyle and Theodosia Flint, both of St. Joseph; her older sister, Chastine and husband Jim Bliss, of Keokuk, Iowa; and her younger brother, Jarret and his wife Carolyn Hickman, of St Joseph.

Survivors include four children, Jay and Colleen Flint, Richmond, Texas, Paula and David Kornfeld, Lenexa, Kansas, John and Lisa Flint, St Louis, Missouri, and Sara Flint, Olathe, Kansas; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

Graveside Farewell Services & Interment 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, Memorial Park Cemetery.
