Angela Renee Bottorff, 52, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024, in St. Joseph. She was born July 14, 1972, in St. Joseph, daughter of the late Mary and Richard Hummer. She attended Central High School and graduated from South Park Christian Academy. She worked as a home health caregiver and as an administrative assistant. She was the co-founder of Micah Jacob Bottorff Addiction Awareness Association and was a member of the Buchanan County Opioid Task Force.

Angela was preceded in death by son, Micah Jacob Bottorff; her parents; and an aunt, Ethel “Lala” Wolski.

Survivors include son, Caleb Bottorff, of Wathena, Kansas; grandson, Ace Lee Bernard-Bottorff, St. Joseph; brother, Edward Hummer, Santa Rosa, California; sister, Mary Margaret Hummer, St. Joseph; nephew, Graham Hummer; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home, Pastor Sharon Speigel officiating. The Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorials are requested to in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Angela’s name to the” Sisters of Solace “.
