Joseph Clayton Fisher, 60, St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024.

He was born Dec. 16, 1963 in Kansas City, Kansas, to Robert and Betty (Church) Fisher. Joseph was a graduate of Benton High School.

He had been a volunteer fire chief in Cosby, Missouri, and had worked at Stone Container, Northwest Missouri Psychiatric Hospital, and retired from the Missouri Department of Corrections in 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Fisher and Betty Roberts; and stepfather, Earl Roberts.

Survivors include his children, Stacy Fisher and Matthew Fisher; six grandchildren; siblings, Robert A. Fisher, Tim Fisher (Nancy), and Tammy Anderson (Johnny); significant other, Leslie Alexander, and her children, Amanda Alexander (Oscar), Adam Alexander (Kyle), and Andrew Alexander (Amanda).
