Jennifer Lynn Lamar, 65, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at her home in St. Joseph. She was born April 22, 1959, in St. Joseph, daughter of the late Patricia and Robert Lamar. She graduated from Benton High School, class of ’77, and Missouri Western State University with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. She worked at Stetson Hats, Altec for 13 years, Snorkel, and Broderson Manufacturing for 12 years in Computer-Aided Drafting. She had a wide variety of interests including camping, cooking, baking, playing softball, and watching the Chiefs, Royals and Mustangs. Jenny loved live music and traveled the world to attend concerts while getting to know her favorite artists and friends.

Jennifer was preceded in death by parents.

Survivors include brother, Bill Lamar; sister, Nancy Lamar Pease, both of St. Joseph; and brother, Timothy Lamar (Susan Wellford), of Roeland Park, Kansas; nieces, Carolyn Pease and Katie Lamar; many extended family; and close friend, Katie Morales. A special thank you to Katie Morales and the Schoenberger family for their care and love for Jenny.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 19, from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 7 p.m. at the Rupp Funeral Home officiated by Chaplain Floyd Ferguson.
