Jay Alan Gould, 67, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, at his home. He was born July 1, 1957, in St. Joseph, son of Margie and Roy Gould. He graduated from Lafayette High School, class of 1975 and attended Platt Business College.

Jay was a longtime cook at Perkins Restaurant. He enjoyed bowling and watching football, especially the Green Bay Packers.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janice Hoye.

Survivors include son, Anthony (Brandi) Lopez, of St Joseph; brother, Jack (Cindy) Gould, of Savannah, Missouri; grandchildren, Destinee, Dallis, Dominick Lopez; brother-in-law, Steven Hoye, of New River, Arizona; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
