COLUMBIA, Mo. – Albert Terrell Jennings, 78, known as “Terry”, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, at Bible Baptist Church, Columbia with a visitation from 10 a.m. until time for the service. Burial will follow on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at 1 p.m. in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.

Terry was born Nov. 6, 1946, in St. Joseph, to the late Dayton Schoen and Marion Eleanor (Terrell) Jennings. On May 18, 1968, he married Bertie Belle Easton, in Bethany, Missouri.

Terry graduated from Central High School, St. Joseph, in 1964. He attended Rolla School of Mines and Engineering for two years before joining the U. S. Air Force in 1967. Starting his time in the Air Force he attended Electronic Tech School where he would be trained to work on F-4, F-105 and B-52 aircraft. Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he started a 47-year career with a company that would eventually become Honeywell. During this time, he went to college at night and graduated from Ottawa University with a BA in business and then Baker University with an MBA in business. While at Honeywell he oversaw the manufacturing of electronic products to managing a supplier base around the world to manufacture Honeywell products in China, Malaysia, Europe, India, Indonesia, and Singapore.

Terry was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, Columbia, and while his time in Ottawa, Kansas, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was saved.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Bertie; his daughter, Charity Marie Brady (Kimberly Kay); six grandgrandchildren, Ryder Mesik, Zayne Mesik, Greyson Mesik, Faith Mesik, Hope Mesik, and Logan Root; sister, Stella Annette Jennings (Spencer).

Terry was also preceded by his son, Jeremy Shane Jennings (Sept. 1999) and an infant brother, Stephen Jennings.

Memorial contributions may be given to Bible Baptist Church, 4275 State Hwy WW, Columbia, MO 65201.
