Margaret “Peggy” Ellen Morris, 89, of St. Joseph, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, in a St. Joseph hospital. She was born March 27, 1935, in St. Joseph, daughter of the late Mary and William Starnes.

She worked at Big Smith, Sherwood medical, and the Buchanan County Jail in the dietary department. She enjoyed hunting and fishing, visiting Jamesport, and studying geoneology. She really loved being a foster parent.

Peggy was preceded in death by husband, John William Morris Jr.; and her parents.

Survivors include daughter, Tracy Davis (Gary Hansen), of Bruce, Wisconsin; sons, Michael Morris (Peggy Duncan) Morris and son, Jeffrey (Sheila) Morris, both of St. Joseph; foster sons, Randy Moore, and Bobby McPherson; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 2 p.m Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Ashland Cemetery.
