Donald Ole Evenson, age 88, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024. He was born Aug. 15, 1936 in Denver, Colorado, to Ole and Ruthie (Quinn) Evenson.
He graduated from Denver East High School, then went on to attend the University of Colorado, in Boulder, where he met his wife of 60 years, Patricia Ann Infield. He was a reservist in the Air National Guard, worked in retail merchandising and management for most of his life, and enjoyed snow skiing, the Denver Broncos, and spending time with his family. In 1993, Don and Pat “retired” to Branson, Missouri, where they worked for the Shoji Tabuchi, Glenn Campbell, and Grand Palace theaters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, in 2019; his parents, Ruthie and Ole; and granddaughter, Catherine.
Don is survived by two sons, D. K. Evenson, of Prairie Village, Kansas, and Doug (Donna) Evenson, of King City, Missouri.
The family will gather with friends 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. At a later date, a private family graveside service and inurnment will be held in Eads, Colorado.
