Holly Michelle Dewar, 44, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, at her home following a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 29, 1980, in St. Joseph, daughter of Susan (Robbins) and Leslie Kunzler. She graduated from Benton High School, class of 1998. On Sept. 15, 2001, she married Jeffery Dewar in St. Joseph.

Holly began her career in Insurance at American Family Insurance. She later joined Philadelphia Insurance Companies, where she was working up until her illness. Holly loved spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed going on float trips and shopping.

Holly was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Wilma Robbins and paternal grandfather, Dee Kunzler.

Survivors include husband, Jeff Dewar, and their daughter, Kailyn Dewar, of the home; mother, Susan Robbins, of St. Joseph; father, Leslie (Chris) Kunzler, of Cameron, Missouri; brother, Blaine Kunzler, of St. Joseph; paternal grandmother, Juanita Kunzler, of St. Joseph; two nieces and two nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home. Mrs. Dewar will be cremated following services. Memorials are suggested to the Mosaic Cancer Center.
