David Jason Coburn Sr., 53, St. Joseph, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2024. He was born on July 27, 1971, in St. Joseph, to David Mitchell and Judy Lynn (Tapee) Geiler.

He was proud of having attended Lafayette High School, in St. Joseph.

David was a devoted member of the Methodist faith, gleaning strength and solace from his beliefs. His passion for music, fondness for fishing, and cherished moments spent with loved ones were the cornerstones of his recreation. These simple joys were reflections of a life richly lived.

He is survived by his mother, Judy (Jerry) Geiler; his son, David Coburn Jr.; sisters, Joyce Coburn and Jennifer Geiler; as well as some nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and several friends.

David steps into eternity preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Joyce Tapee; his cousins, Sharon, Steve, and Michelle; his uncles, Joe and Jerry Tapee.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 3 p.m. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery.
