Robert L. Williams Jr. “The Miller Man”, 75, of St. Joseph, passed away from this world on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care. He was born Aug. 4, 1949, in St. Joseph, to Edna Marie (Fletchall) and Robert L. Williams Sr. He served in the United States Army and is a Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Bob worked at Midland Bottling Co. and St. Joe Beverage for 40 years. He took great pride in serving his customers and working with fellow employees. Bob liked to fish, camp and drink beer (Miller and Coors). He liked to watch Nascar racing and the Kansas City Chiefs and going to dirt track races. Bob was a member of the VFW Post 6760, holding the title of Quarter Master. He enjoyed his role and was admired by fellow members.

Bob was preceded in death by father, Robert L. Williams Sr.; mother, Edna Drollett; sister, Barbara Lynn Williams; two step-brothers, Wayne and Robert O. Williams; mother-in-law, Helen Riley; sisters-in-law, Janet Petty and Lauren Schmidt; and several aunts and an uncle.

Survivors include wife of 42 years, Debra Williams, of the home; his son, Jake Williams; step-children, Carrie, Stacy and Brad, estranged children, Kim, Lee, Jerri, Tammy and Jimmy, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several cousins. Bob will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services with Military Honors will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Williams will be cremated following services. Memorials are requested to the VFW Post 6760.
