MAYSVILLE, Mo. – LeRoyce D. Burton, 90, Maysville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024.

He was born in Stewartsville, Missouri, on Oct. 31, 1934, to Alma Writt and Oden Royce Burton.

LeRoyce, a proud graduate of his local high school, dedicated 30 years of his professional life to Ford Motors Company as a skilled welder. His work ethic was unmatched, but it was his passion for country music that colored his world the most vibrantly. LeRoyce found true joy in sharing his musical talents with others, performing at various music shows throughout Missouri as a beloved country music singer.

LeRoyce was a true country boy at heart, reveling in the natural world around him. His hobbies included farming, playing the guitar and violin, tending to his garden, and taking cattle out to pasture. These simple pleasures provided a backdrop to a life lived in harmony with the land he loved so dearly.

LeRoyce is survived by his son, Royce L. Burton; his sister, Lana May Rumelhart; his brother, Terry (Sylvia) Burton; and numerous family members and friends who will miss his presence dearly but will continue to be inspired by the vibrant life LeRoyce led. His memory will live on as a blessing to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Betty Jean Burton, and his parents.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10 a.m. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Entombment Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will gather with friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
