WATHENA, Kan. – Juanita Adele (Cross) Juhl, 104, of Wathena, Kansas passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, at the Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.

Juanita was born on April 8, 1920, in Blair, Kansas, to Lloyd Sr. and Velma (Eader) Cross.

She graduated from Troy High School in 1938. Juanita was a member of the United Methodist Church, Happy Valley Homemakers, and was a 4-H Leader and served on the election board. She worked as a telephone operator and was a farmer’s wife for most of her life. Juanita was an avid Chiefs fan and was talking with family about the upcoming game.

Juanita married Kenneth H. Juhl on Nov. 17, 1943. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2004.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lloyd Jr. and Harold Dwayne Cross.

Survivors, son, Dennis Juhl (Cindy), Wathena; granddaughter, DeAira Puentes Soto (Manuel); great-grandchildren, Oona, Lulu and Mateo, Collinsville, Oklahoma, Darin Juhl (Megan), great-grandchildren, Allison, Daxton and Devon, Wathena. Numerous nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2024 at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena.

Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Sunday.

Burial: Bellemont Cemetery, Wathena.

Memorials: Wathena EMS.
