George Raymond Wilson, 64, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care. He was born July 3, 1960, in Hiawatha, Kansas, son of Ethel and George Wilson. He worked at B&R Insulation for over 20 years as an Asbestos Removal Supervisor. He loved photography, was an avid diver, which he enjoyed diving in caves and spending much of his time in nature, often exploring Loess Bluffs Wildlife Refuge and watching eagles.

George was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rick Wilson and Robert Roberts; sister, Mary Ann Teeter; and brother-in-law, Ernest Best Sr.

Survivors include: siblings, Johnny (Kathy) Roberts, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Pam (Terri) Wilson, of Harker Heights, Texas, Donald Roberts, of St. Joseph, Mary Lou Wooden, of Highland, Kansas, Terry Roberts, of Savannah, Missouri, Martha (William) Gerling, of Liberty, Missouri, and Lynda (Mitchell) Sherman, of St. Joseph; sister-in-law, Sherry Wilson, of Flemington, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home. Pastor Ron Nichols, officiating. The Interment will be at the Highland Cemetery in Highland, Kansas.

Memorials are requested to the Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge.
