Norman Glen Cook Sr., 87, St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024. He was born July 25, 1937, to Levi L. and Lucille A. (Stigers) Cook, in St. Joseph.

Norman married Judy Ann Knadler on July 2, 1960. He retired from the United States Army after proudly serving for 28 years. He was a member of Harmony Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a Troop 25 Scout Master, and a Tribe of Mic-O-Say Honorary Warrior Star Travois.

Norman enjoyed spending his time square dancing with Judy. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Deborah Richardson; granddaughter, Caitlin Cook; siblings, Homer and Maxine Cook.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years; sons, N. Glen Cook (Lana) and Daniel Cook (Dawn), and Bruce Cook; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10 a.m. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Blakely Cemetery, Easton, Missouri. The family will gather with friends 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Harmony Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
