C. Gregg Larson, 63, St. Joseph, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2024.
He was born July 14, 1961, in St. Joseph, to Charles and Marylou (Wood) Larson. Gregg graduated from Savannah, Missouri, High School in 1979, the University of Missouri, and Creighton Law School. He had his own law practice in St. Joseph.
Gregg married Mary Frances Neel. She preceded him in death on April 23, 2006.
He was a member of the Missouri and Nebraska Bar Associations, Kappa Sigma social fraternity, Pony Express Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Tribe of Mic-O-Say (where his name was Little Hippo in Hole), and the Moila Shrine.
Gregg was very active and enjoyed participating in scouting and particularly in Mic-O-Say with his son and all of the tribe. He volunteered many hours over the last 40 years to enhance the scouting experience at Camp Gieger.
He loved his family and helping others.
He was preceded in death by his wife; and father.
Survivors include his son, Chase A. Larson; mother, Marylou; siblings, Joseph Larson, Jennifer Brooks, and Sarah Larson; several nieces and nephews.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10 a.m. Thursday, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.
