Kevin Lee Brant 61, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, at his home. He was born July 4, 1963, in St. Joseph, son of the late Patricia and William F. Brant. He attended Lafayette High School.

Kevin was a carpenter all his life, and enjoyed his dog Otis. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, and loved his scratcher tickets.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William “Bill” Brant; and nephews, David Patterson and Christian Lee.

Survivors include: a son, Steven Fitzpatrick, of Texas; grandson, Kade Hixon, who was the apple of his eye; daughter, Toni Hixon (Brian Hodges); son, Dustin Chaney; grandsons, Hunter Chaney and Koda Hodges; sisters, Becky Snyder, Bev Jacobs, and Tracy Brant; brothers, Mark Brant, Robert (Pam) Brant, Christopher (Tina) Brant, and Curtis Clark; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home, The Interment will be at the Savannah Cemetery.
