ELWOOD, Kan. – Jimmy Ray Clements, 68, of Elwood, Kansas, passed away Oct. 8, 2024, at home. He was born on Jan. 23, 1956, to Hubert and Hazel McGeorge-Clements. He married Marlene Clements in St. Joseph on July 22, 1988, and she survives of the home.

Preceding in death are his parents; a sister, Connie Grabiel and brother-in-law, John Grabiel; grandson, Dayton Crockett; and sister-in-law, Nada Clements.

Jim worked in the Tannery business for over 40 years finally retiring from National Beef Leathers in 2021. After retirement Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, tinkering with his buggy and sitting at the kitchen table watching the birds.

Jim loved being with his family and he cherished his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Tania Lawrence (Chris), Constance Wooley (Stan), and Jennifer Clements; his son, Joshua Clements (Kellie); brothers, Ronnie Clements, Barnard, Missouri, Stanley Clements, St. Joseph, Edwin Clements, Enid, Oklahoma, and Roger Clements, Overland Park, Kansas; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one great-grandchild on the way; and his dog, Dexter.

There is no scheduled service. Family visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, in Wathena, Kansas. Inurnment at a later date.
