LINCOLN, Neb. – Garry Robert Price, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away Sept. 28, 2024, surrounded by friends and family after a valiant battle with cancer. Garry was born on Aug. 20, 1946, with his twin brother, Larry, in Hurlinger, Missouri, to Clyde and Marie (Weipert) Price. Garry graduated from Central High, in St. Joseph, in 1965 and immediately joined the Navy Seabees as a heavy equipment officer. He met some of his life long friends during his two tours in Vietnam. When He returned home he married his high school sweetheart, Patty Cunningham, and had two children. He graduated from Metro Tech Community College in Milford, Nebraska, for tool and die and worked for Square D for 20 years while raising his family. He then moved on to work for Siemen’s, in El Paso, Texas, where he lived and rode his blue ’95 FLHTC Harley Davidson Motorcycle over 100,000 miles over the course of nearly 20 years. After the death of his wife Elisa, he returned to Lincoln to spend time with his family, riding his Harley around Nebraska and watching horror films and History movies about WW11. He enjoyed quilting with his daughter and made some beautiful quilts for friends and family, especially his grandsons.

Garry is survived in death by the mother of his children, Patricia Price; his brother, Tommy; his son, Jason and his wife Rite Price; his daughter, Jennie and her two sons Joshua and Jeremy.

His parents, aunts, uncles, twin brother, Larry, brothers, Erwin and Donald, and his wife Elisa, were there to welcome him home. There will be a Memorial Held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at Butherus, Maser and Love Funeral Home, 4040 A St. Lincoln, Nebraska. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
