COLUMBIA, Mo. – Richard J Schieber, 78, of Columbia, Missouri, formerly of Maryville, Missouri, died Sept. 23, 2024, in Columbia, after complications of Agent Orange.
Born on Jan. 2, 1946, in Maryville, to Leonard and Laura (Eickholt) Schieber. He married Jane Kissinger on Dec. 30, 1972.
Survivors, wife, Jane; daughter, Lori (James) Melton; granddaughter, Addison Melton; father-in-law, Eldon Kissinger; siblings, Mary Jo Schieber, SSM; Bill Schieber; Nancy (Jerry) Fennell; Phillip (Linda) Schieber; Steve (Sandy) Schieber; Ruth (Tom) Kemper; sister-in-law, Denise Schieber; brother-in-law, Russ (Pam) Kissinger; and nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded in death, and his mother-in-law, Zella; brother, Mark Schieber,; and sister-in-law, Susan Schieber.
Richard was active in Northwest Missouri. He was a member of Kiwanis, VFW, American Legion, Optimist Club, St Francis Hospital auxiliary, and Elks. He served in the Air Force from 1964 to 1968.
Visitation, Sept. 30, at 9 a.m., at Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, followed by services at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow at High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, Missouri.
