WATHENA, Kan. – Wayne M. Bruder, 90, Wathena, Kansas, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2024.
He was born Jan. 5, 1934, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, to Charles and Evelyn (Fischer) Bruder.
Wayne married Judith Diana Orrill on Oct. 9, 1955. She preceded him in death on May 17, 2020.
He proudly served his country in the National Guard from 1955 to 1958.
He was a journeyman machinist and a Maintenance Superintendent for Armco Steel, in Kansas City, Missouri, for 39 years.
Wayne also worked for Dunn Industrial Group as a Project Manager for seven years after his retirement from Armco.
Wayne was a member of the RLDS church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Judy; and his parents.
Survivors include his children, Jeff Bruder (Donna Weixel), of Houston, Texas, Eric Bruder (April), of St. Joseph, and Charles Bruder (Kathleen), of Virginia; grandchildren, Erica King (Jonathon), of Platte City, Missouri, Chad Bruder, of St. Joseph, Terra Bruder, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Geoffery Bruder, of Minneapolis, and Aria Weixel, of Houston; and great-granddaughter, Everly Grace King.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10 a.m. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Oak Ridge Memory Gardens, Independence, Missouri. The family will gather with friends 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Noyes Home for Children.
