COUNTRY CLUB, Mo. – William “Bill” Pruett, 65, Country Club, Missouri, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024. He was born on March 4, 1959, to Kenneth and Betty Pruett, in St. Joseph.

Bill graduated from Lafayette High School.

After 40 years of dedicated service, Bill retired from Clarios in 2021.

He married Leah Weston on November 27, 2010. She survives of the home.

Bill was quick-witted and had a joke for any situation. He was also a courteous, by-the-book, protective man who will be remembered for these qualities that his family and friends loved.

He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan. Bill also enjoyed hunting, listening to podcasts, and watching westerns, especially if it involved John Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Betty Pruett; his sister, Penny; and first wife, Kim Pruett.

Survivors include his wife, Leah Pruett; sons, Jonathan, David, Justin and Stephen Pruett; and seven grandchildren.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10 a.m. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Fillmore Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
