Lloyd D. Wilson, 89, St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024, in a local hospital.

He was born July 30, 1935, in Turney, Missouri. He was the son of Mildred Evelyn (Dewey) and John Wesley Wilson.

He retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation in 1993 after 40 years of service.

Lloyd was married to Donna Lynn Pemberton from 1953 to 1980. In 1980 he married Marlene J. Blodgett.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Lou Smith; infant grandson, David Million; and his wife, Marlene.

He enjoyed dancing, horses, taking care of his lawn and in later years watching sports on TV and westerns.

Lloyd was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and Eagles Lodge #49.

Lloyd is survived by two daughters, Pamela Million (Mike), and Susan Voss (Hank); three stepdaughters, Dana Matt (Pete), Donna Bruns (Jeff), and Darcy Adams (Steve). “He loved all of his girls.”

Additional survivors include his brother, Earl Bratcher; sister, Sherri Siders; grandchildren, John Voss (Jayme), Adrian Johnson (Thaylan), Michael Million, Brad Million (Misty), Blair Costello (Tyler), Joshua Glidewell, Janelle Glidewell (Kyle), Bethany Barton, Megan Barton, and Amanda Adams; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sally Payne.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1 p.m. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association.
