LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Albert G. Clark, 78, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024, at Louisville, Kentucky, East Post Acute Care following an extended illness.
Born in Fayetteville, Tennessee, to the late Albert W. and Margaret Clark, Albert was a retired Army veteran having served in the Vietnam Conflict, and also a retired TARC bus driver. He was a member of Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church and the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Elfriede Recknagel Clark; a son, Richard Johnson; daughter, Christina Clark; siblings, Alfred, Alice, Michael, Judy, Mary, Robert, Richard, Debby, and Jimmy Clark; grandchildren, Devon Johnson, Richard Clark, and Paul Clark; and great-grandchild, Ivory Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Clark and David Paul Clark.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday Sept. 14 at Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church, 1030 S. Hancock Street, with burial at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central at a later date. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
