Dorothy Mae Webb, 79, St. Joseph, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024.

She was born Jan. 1, 1945, in Independence, Kansas, to Leonard and Clara (Alberty) Webb.

Dorothy married Harry Eugene Carriger in May 1963. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2002.

She worked as a claims representative for AAA Insurance for 38 years. She was a lifetime member of the St. Francis Baptist Temple.

Dorothy enjoyed cooking, shopping, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; aunt, Lula Mae Banks; and siblings, James, Lewis, Timothy and Johnny Webb.

Survivors include her children, Durand Carriger (TeeTee), Mario Carriger, Shawn Carriger (Danielle Smith), and Todd Nance; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Webb (Vernadeen); other extended family and friends.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, St. Francis Baptist Temple. The family will gather with friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
